When Waiting on God Feels Like Weakness
Maybe You Are Not Stuck. Maybe God Is Strengthening You.
Some seasons feel harder because nothing seems to be changing.
You have prayed.
You have obeyed.
You have stayed faithful when it would have been easier to walk away.
Yet the answers have not come.
The doors remain closed.
The healing has not happened.
The breakthrough seems delayed.
In the silence, it is easy to wonder if you have missed something. You may even feel as though everyone else is moving ahead while you remain in the same place.
But what if you are not stuck?
What if God is strengthening you?
What if this season is not wasted, but deeply purposeful?
God's Strength Often Grows in Hidden Places
"But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong."
1 Corinthians 1:27 ESV
Our culture celebrates speed, achievement, and visible progress.
God often works differently.
His kingdom values faithfulness over applause. He delights in hearts that continue to trust Him, even when the results cannot yet be seen.
Waiting may not look impressive from the outside, but heaven sees something beautiful.
He sees the mother who continues praying for her child year after year.
He sees the woman who wakes up to the same diagnosis and still chooses hope.
He sees the weary believer who quietly obeys when no one notices.
The world may overlook these things, but God does not.
This is strength.
This is faith.
And this kind of faith pleases Him.
Waiting Is Not Wasted
Throughout Scripture, God never treats waiting as meaningless.
He often uses it to deepen our trust and draw us closer to Him.
"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
Psalm 27:14
"Blessed are all who wait for him."
Isaiah 30:18
"Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."
Habakkuk 2:3
Waiting is not simply about trusting what God will do.
It is learning to trust who He is.
He is not absent.
He is not careless.
He is not late.
He is present, and He is working in ways we cannot always see.
You Are Not Behind. You Are Becoming.
You are not forgotten.
You are not invisible.
And you are not falling apart.
God is doing work beneath the surface that cannot be rushed.
Roots grow before fruit appears.
Character develops before calling expands.
Trust deepens before blessings are fully seen.
The waiting is not weakness.
It is worship.
If this season feels hidden, remember that God is not hiding from you.
He is strengthening you.
He is preparing you.
He is teaching you that trust is never wasted.
"I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope."
Psalm 130:5
How Do We Wait Well?
Wait with open hands instead of clenched fists.
Wait with hope instead of fear.
Wait in community instead of isolation.
Most of all, wait with the God who promises to sustain His children.
You do not have to manufacture strength.
He provides it.
And while you may not yet see where the road is leading, you can trust the One who walks beside you.
A Devotional for the Waiting Seasons
Waiting on God: A 21-Day Devotional was created for the woman who keeps showing up.

Hope and Expectancy
Gentle reminders that hope is possible, even after disappointment.
God's Perfect Timing
Comfort for those moments when it feels as though God is taking too long.
Justice and Deliverance
Encouragement for long battles that have not yet reached their conclusion.
Each day includes:
• One Scripture passage written in full
• A devotional rooted in God's Word
• Two thoughtful reflection questions

Your waiting is not evidence that God has forgotten you.
Sometimes the quiet seasons are the very places where He builds deep roots, steady faith, and an unshakable trust that will carry you through whatever comes next.
And perhaps you are not stuck after all.
Perhaps you are being strengthened.

Those feel peaceful, hopeful, and steady, which fits the "Faithful Anchor" voice beautifully.
