A Prayer for When You Are Spiritually Exhausted
God hears us in our exhaustion.
He hears us when we are too drained to do anything but bow our heads.
You do not need to feel strong to stay faithful.
There are days when your soul is simply tired. Days when the responsibilities feel heavy, the answers feel distant, and even prayer feels difficult.
If you are walking through a season like that, you are not alone.
Many faithful believers have experienced spiritual weariness. They have loved God, trusted Him, and continued moving forward while carrying burdens that felt almost too heavy to bear.
David understood that kind of exhaustion. In one of his prayers, he cried out to God from a place of deep weariness and dependence.
His words remind us that when our strength is gone, God remains our refuge.
God doesn’t ask you to hold everything together. He is near to the brokenhearted and sustains the weary. When you’ve run out of words or energy, He is still holding you.
If you’re weary, this prayer is for you.
Lord, I’m tired.
I don’t have the words today.
I’m overwhelmed and worn thin.
But I know that You are near, even when I don’t feel it.
Hold me when I can’t hold on.
Be my strength when mine is gone.
Anchor me in Your presence.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Don't know Jesus personally?
Here’s a simple prayer you can pray:
Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died for my sins and rose again to give me life. I confess that I’ve tried to do things on my own, and I need You. Please forgive me. I surrender my heart, my life, and my future to You. Come into my life and be my Savior and Lord. I want to follow You all my days. Thank You for loving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
